Currently I finished reading Paper Towns by John Green. This is a very great book, highly recommended. This is kind of an adventure and romantic story. The main characters in this story are Quentin Jacobson and his love, Margo Roth Spiegelman. This book is named this way because they say that towns from above look like paper towns, so they always speak about towns as paper towns.
Now, I'm going to tell you what this story is about. One lovely day in Florida, Quentin Jacobsen and Margo Roth Spiegelman -two nine years olds- where playing in the park, and they saw a dead body. Quentin, better known as -Q, tries to get this image out of his head, but Margo discovers this guy had committed suicide, and wonders why. Nine years later, Margo now eighteen, comes to -Q's window at midnight. She asks him to drive her somewhere around the town, and now that he is in love with her, he says yes and takes his mother's car very quietly. They hadn't really hung out since the day of the dead body, nine years ago. She was going to pull some revenge against her cheating boyfriend, and anyone who annoys her, with spray paint and fish. They break in houses and spray paint Ms on the walls, and of course leave some fish in reward. Then they sneak into Sea World as the cherry atop this vigilant sundae. Quentin is very excited that he and Margo are finally friends again, but she never comes back to school... -Q believes that Margo had runaway of her home, and is leaving her clues, so with his friends, Ben and Radar, he takes a map she left of the paper towns and start her adventure looking for Margo. The map leads him to a mini-mall, but he goes there and is scared that maybe she was just dead. He is scared that she committed suicide just like the man they saw nine years ago. Eventually he discovers that she is alive, and is living in NY. So he and his best friends skip graduation and go look for her. They find her, but she becomes mad at them because she didn't want to be found, and she doesn't want to go home. She's going to find a new home and discover who she really is. Quentin realizes that he is in love with a girl he doesn't really know, according to her, so he lets her go... And there this story ends. I would really I recently finished reading The Fault in our Stars by John Green. Let me tell you, this book is AMAZING.
This story is set in Indianapolis. The main characters are; Hazel Grace; a cancer fighter, Augustus Waters; a cancer survivor, and Hazel's boyfriend. The p´roblem in this book is that Hazel is depressed, she reads the same book over and over again, she varely leaves her house, and she doesn't like hanging out. This book is DEFINETLY worth reading! Tis is my FAVORITE book. You never get tired of reading it! I mostly recommend reading it if yoy like romantic and dramatic stories, this story is just SO beautiful. For example in one part, Augustus uses his cancer-kid wish to take Hazel to Amsterdam to meet her favorite author. It's just amazing. Like I said before, I really recommend this book to those who like romantic stories. If you don't like romantic stories at all, I wouldn't recommend it. Anyways, it's just SO AMAZING! I recently finished reading "Thank you Ma'm".
This is a great story. It will surprise you. It will teach you a good lesson, which is; "every one deserves a second chance". I recomend this book to that person who loves good stories, and I don't men "good stories" of great stories, I mean stories that have a meaning, a good proposite. I really liked this story because it makes you wonder, what is going to happen next? Is she going to take him to jail? Is she going to adopt him? This story has an unexpected end, which is it? Well, if you insist, here it is... Roger (the kid) goes to Ms, Jones' home, and washes his face, he thinks she is going to take him to jail, but instead, she gives him food, and money for buying new sneakers. That's the reason I liked this story, the characters teached me a lesson. This story is about a boy who doesn´t have a family to support him and buy him stuff and food. One day he decides to go and steal a ladie's purse. He was lucky, the ladie was a good person, and took him home, told him to wash his face, gave him food and gave him money to buy some sneakers. This was extremely surprising because -at least I- thought thatshe was going to take him to the police and they would put him in jail or something like that... But there IS a story behind this... The womas had lived what that boy was living: she didn´t have a family, she did bad things... So she knows what he is living. In conclusion, I do recommend this story, it´s great. |
